What is Mobile Storage and is it for me?

Yes, you may find that mobile storage is the best choice for you. Mobile storage is the process of having self storage modules delivered to your door. Once they are filled, you can simply lock them and we’ll pick them up and store safely at our secure facilities.

What size are the mobile storage units?

  • Timber storage modules are 2.25m high, 2.38m deep and 1.6 m wide (7 cubic metres).

Is mobile storage more expensive than self storage?

The short answer in most cases is, no. Many people will use a moving company to move their goods to and from a storage facility. Since we provide you with both services we can offer you a cheaper rate for both moving and storage—without compromising on quality of services, professionalism and care for your valuable goods.

And, our mobile storage often works out to be more affordable than doing it yourself—when you consider the costs of truck or trailer hire, stress, your own labour, time of work and other factors that make moving a hassle. We make moving simple by taking away the hassle. We are experienced professionals with over 18 years in the self storage industry so we treat your goods like our own with the utmost care.

When do you deliver the mobile storage units?

Australian Mobile Storage operates 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Let us know if you require a storage unit on the weekend, and we can arrange for it to be delivered on a Friday—so you can pack it over the weekend at your own pace—and we will pick up on Monday if you have finished packing.

When can I access my goods and are they kept safe?

We permit one free access to your unit a month but with most customers it is never needed to be accessed. The next time you see your module is when it is delivered to your new location and use your key to open the module. While is secure storage they are monitored by video surveillance and if access is needed must be accompanied by a member of our team.
