AMS offers a flexible solution delivering one or more weatherproof storage modules - with your packaging requirements - direct to your door. The modules are placed at ground level close to your premises for easy access for you or professional packers to fill at your leisure before relocating or storing your goods.
Why should I use Australian Mobile Storage?
Mobile Storage the AMS way saves you up to 70% of time and cost compared to using a removalist to place your goods in a traditional self storage facility. You pack and unpack only once - minimizing time, effort, cost and the chance of breakage. There is no need to hire a truck or trailer or make numerous trips to a storage facility or your new location. You will enjoy peace of mind knowing your goods are insurable and stored in our secure warehouse. You keep the key to your module/s. Our careful drivers respect your property and will treat your goods as though they were their own so you can rest assured that your belongings are collected and transported in the safest way.
Will my furniture fit into a mobile storage module?
Yes. Our experienced team members will assist you with estimating the number of modules you need. Each AMS storage module is large enough to fit white goods, lounges, beds, wall units and other househol items up to 2 rooms of furniture per module. We are happy to deliver an extra module beyond your estimated needs and you will only pay for it if you use it.
What is the best way to pack a mobile storage module?
Place heavier items on the bottom and towards the door, using removalist blankets to protect furniture surfaces. Fill spaces with smaller items and pack as high as you can to take best advantage of the space available. It will help to use consistent sized boxes packed full. AMS can supply your cartons, tape, packing paper, bubble wrap, moving blankets and accessories such as padlocks. If you prefer AMS can arrange for professional packers to do the packing and/or loading for you too.
Are my goods able to be insured?
Yes. AMS offers competitive insurance cover on goods stored in our secure warehouse. Our friendly team will be able to quote when you advise your estimated value of goods.
What day is my storage fee due?
Storage fees apply from the day the module/s are delivered until you are finished using the module/s. Future calendar month payments are due on the delivery anniversary date. For savings AMS offers you prepayment discount options on 3, 6 or 12 month advance payments and great deals on bulk carton purchases. We also offer easy automatic payment methods.
Are there any hidden costs?
No there are no hidden fees, no deposit and no bond. You will just need a padlock to secure your module/s and you may opt to purchase quality padlocks, cartons and other packaging requirements from our stock. AMS quotations will include any delivery charges, pick up fees and storage costs itemized for your ease of understanding.
How do I make payment?
AMS accepts Mastercard, Visa or Direct Deposit payments on booking your module/s and ordering packaging materials. We may alternately accept Cash or Debit Card at the time of delivery. Future storage payments are due on the anniversary date of delivery and may be made by Credit Card or Direct Deposit into the AMS bank account.
For your convenience you may make automatic periodic payments by recurring Credit Card Deduction Authority or by Direct Debit Authority from your bank account. AMS does not charge any surcharge for the use of Mastercard or Visa.
What are Australian Mobile Storage warehouse access hours?
Australian Mobile Storage warehouse hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday or by appointment.
Can I access my contents while they're in storage?
Yes. You can schedule an appointment to access your module/s by contacting our office on 1300 000 267. Access is available at our warehouse locations with 24 hours notice so that your module is located and set in place for you to access safely. We allow one free access once per month while in storage.
Do you pick-up and deliver storage modules on weekends?
Australian Mobile Storage normally operates 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, as most customers take advantage of the whole weekend to pack and fill their module/s. We therefore deliver by Friday and pick up on Monday or when you are ready. We are happy to deliver an extra module beyond your estimated needs and will only charge for it if you use it.
Do I have to be home when the mobile storage module is dropped-off or picked-up?
No, provided the Storage Agreement has been signed, initial payment received and access to your property is straightforward. We would ask that you are contactable by phone/mobile during the delivery and pick up times.
How fast can I get an Australian Mobile Storage module?
Australian Mobile Storage modules are usually available from the next day. If you only need one and need it on the same day you may be able to collect one on a specially designed trailer to tow to your location to start packing immediately. Specific towing capabilities apply due to the weight of the module on the trailer. Call us to discuss this option.
How long do I have to load or unload the mobile storage module/s?
Australian Mobile Storage allows you to pack your mobile storage module/s at your convenience. Just give us a call when you are ready for the module/s to be relocated or taken into storage.
Will Australian Mobile Storage load the mobile storage module for me?
Australian Mobile Storage has access to the services of specialists in packing/unpacking your goods and loading/unloading your module/s. Just ask our friendly team member.
What composition are the mobile storage modules & are they weatherproof?
Our eco friendly mobile storage modules are made of timber panels and frames which allow the contents to 'breathe'. They are delivered to you with weatherproof covers so that your goods are protected while at your location and during transit.
How safe are my belongings in a mobile storage module?
Only you have the key to your module/s which are stored in our secure warehouse where we can offer you optional contents insurance cover. Storage locations have video security monitoring and alarms fitted to the warehouse or self storage facility it may be stored in.
Do you refund for unused days?
Refunds apply from the second month of storage for part months used. Each week or part thereof in a part month will be charged at 30% of the monthly storage fee.
